Local Produce at Number 43

We have a passion for quality food at Number 43, The North West has a rich culinary heritage and Cumbria is home to a number of award winning specialist food and drink producers. We use the very best of this Aladdin’s cave of local produce in all of our meals.

AA Award Winning Breakfast’s at Number 43...
...are a relaxed affair beginning at 8.00 am for the early risers. If you want a lie in and can resist the smell of freshly brewed coffee and just baked muffins wafting up the stairs then we serve up until 9.30 am (of course if you are staying in a suite we can bring your breakfast up to you room for you). We pride ourselves on our gastronomic delights; here is a snippet to tease your taste buds:

Locally pressed apple juice or our freshly squeezed orange juice with a bowl of home roasted maple syrup granola and fabulous creamy vanilla yogurt.

Help yourself from our imaginative and impressive fruit bar, before you tuck into an outstanding, traditional Cumbrian Breakfast which includes award winning home cured bacon, Cumberland sausage or sensational wild boar and apple sausages and black pudding from Peter Gott of Sillfield Farm.
Or how about award winning buttery Kippers with free range scrambled eggs or locally caught and smoked haddock from the river Lune served with free range poached eggs?
On Sundays, we also spoil you with a glass of Bucks Fizz to accompany your breakfast.

On lovely summer mornings you can enjoy your breakfast on our terrace where you can watch the swans and herons patrolling the shoreline and listen to the cries of the oyster catchers in the bay.
